Got to CC at 7am, till 12:30pm, small bass tourament going on , waited for those guys to launch. Light wind , air 45 , Water 50's , and lots of coffee. 1st Stop : Long Ridge West , found fish 18 to 20 Fow, fish are still moving , even with the Thumper running . If they are not showing on the electronics , you have got to move . Mepps #4 , Tail Spinner , Silver Slabs , dragging all of these different baits from side to side seem to work best , slow . Casting did catch a few fish, 25 sand bass , 3 cats , 2 yellow bass. 2nd Spot : Mid Lake Hump, Lowrance was showing a few fish , I really like this spot once the water starts cooling down . 20 to 22 Fow , caught 5 sand bass , 3rd Spot : Key Ranch Drop Off , fish were showing in 18 to 20 Fow , on the drop. With the boat sitting in 16 Fow , casting to the drop. Casting seem to work best at this spot, however the dragging method, slow , was still effective , with the Thumper running. 4th Spot : Dead Sticking , moving straight out from Key Ranch Drop, to 40 Fow , looking for large schools of bait , 5 to 6 cranks off the bottom, Dead Stick , 4" chartreuse baby fluke , with the Thumper running , I caught 6 legal Hybrids, look like footballs. The cool thing about this type of fishing , is the thump of a CC Hybrid. Great Day !!!!!!
