I installed my new prop.

I didn't use a torque wrench.I just tightened it with a wrench.

It doesn't use a cotter pin. It has a tab washer. I really don't see what bending the tab up is going to do.

it's a lock, the tabs will bend up on the flat sides of the prop nut to keep it from backing off, use it

Tighten it, if it’s so tight that you can’t spin the nut, then loosen. Depending on the prop, some use up to 100ft lb of torque, some are around 50ft lb.

Make sure you have those grooves in the spindle sleeve prongs.

It is this prop. It doesn't say how much torque to use.But it came with with the Flo-Torq Reflex Hub

That play doesn’t seem too bad, but do check it after usage. But one thing I didn’t see you do, slap some grease on the prop shaft and all those washers.

If you were just using that box wrench, it’s prob not tight enough. But it doesn’t appear to be a large HP motor, so not sure if that’ll hurt anything or not, mines a bit different.

Reflex hub kit's torque is typically around 50-55 ft lbs.

never loosen the prop nut to line up the lock tabs, over torque'ing slightly is okay.

It was as far as it would tighten. all I could do is loosen it just a tad.

I may need to go get a torque wrench
