What is the deal with people triing to sell there boats with hull damage and not discloseing it to the buyer. I have looked at two skeeters this year that had hull damage(big impact crackes). Both times the sellers told me the boats were in great shape.After inspecting the bottoms of the hulls I had to re-educate them on what great shape ment. The first time was an individual and the second was today at a dealership between Austin and Waco(No names).Is this a common ocurence? I fill sorry for the guy who buys the boat not knowing what he is getting.Somebody who does not know what to look for.Does anybody know of any 95-96 skeeters,or 91-93 champions that are in good shape.By good shape I mean they do not need major repair.

I dunno...I was looking at aluminum boats earlier this year and drove 3 hours to look at a dealer who had 3 boats that were only a year old for sale - motor still under warranty. I called and he said they were "like new" and the people just bought new boats every year.

One had a hole in the bottom I could stick my fist thru. The second had been T-boned while on the trailer on the highway and the the middle of the boat/trailer was 2 foot out of center with both ends. The third had the entire rear deck and transom ripped out and crappily repaired from pulling something.

So no I guess it's not that rare.

That is exactly why we started advertising we do the free boat inspections for people. That way if there is a current issue with a boat, we find it before the deal is closed.
