Swelled up with a little golf ball size knot and it looks better this morning hurts like a sumumma beech tho . I don’t think it’s broke .

Have a duct jack lift it was at its max I moved it and it came crashing down after a part fell out gulitine style right on my hand . That’s looks like the kind of thing that could get a man hurt. Haul it to the scrap yard before it cuts your hand off

Only way to be sure is to have it x-rayed.

Ouchee. I had to get a hand xray a few years back due to some pain on a finger tip of my fretting guitar hand. The doc says, " I can tell from the xrays you broke a few bones in this hand before". I knew I had hurt my hands often as a young hothead but had never thought they were broke. In hindsight, I wish I took better care as a young lad.

Buddy of mine had a window slam on his thumb and he went to see if it was broken. They wanted to x-ray his other thumb to get a baseline. When they x-rayed his “good” thumb, they asked when he had broken that one. He said he never knew he had broken the other one. Doctor said it was an old break.

Fractures come in all flavors. They're not always displaced.
As said here and X Ray can take a lot of guesswork out of it. Even X Rays are dependant on the skill of the doc reading it. I've seem techs that were better than some docs.
I'm not a doc.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.
