Okay guy sound off! I'm about to buy some new boat batteries. I'm thinking about going with Duracell. I have been running Interstate batteries for a long time and I don't get anything out of them longer than 2 years. I want you to be brutally honest.

LIthium will last 3-5000 cycles. If you divide the number of times you fish per year by either of those wont lithiums be the LAST batteries you ever buy if they work like they say?

Duracell are great. High amp hours, sealed AGM. Long life. Battery life depends on the number of cycles. They are made by Deka. You will love them. Really only down side is weight, they are heavy and a little pricey when compared to a good lead acid such as Interstate

I've been running Interstate for years. No real issues, i had one fail but it was 4 years old. I just replaced all in the boat with the Duracell AGM from Sams. I heard great things so I gave them a try. Price was good.

I've been running Duracell 31 AGM's for about a year now 2-3 times a week and no issues to date.

I may have problems with Walmart's tire department but their Everstart batteries have done me right.

Duracell 31 AGM from Sam's club is the best bang for your buck in an AGM out there. Most agms in a 31 are heavy as hell

I have used the Deka ones for years on SCADA sites. Same as the Duracell AGM. They are solid batteries. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/11/full-27893-30858-924b28c2_f109_4be8_9c95_8d1f81b5e0b7.jpeg)

Just put two batteries in the boat yesterday....series 27 Everstart Walmart Marine deep cycle. The ones that came out had a definite problem. They were series 24, one marine and the other not. They were purchased on 11/27/18. I lost the receipt but Walmart tested them and determined they had a problem so they replaced at full price. I paid the difference of $35 for bigger ones....got lucky. I like the Walmart batteries. They're cheaper and you can get 2 years or better out of them most of the time.

Going on 5 years with my Optima Blue Tops. Haven't let me down yet. Have fished an entire weekend without charging on Saturday night and still have plenty juice on Sunday.
I have replaced 1 battery, but then learned I had a bad bank on my battery charger.

Why not just go to Wal Mart and get Everstart, they are as good or better than any other battery you can buy

School me on AMG batteries. Do you need a special charger for them? I have a Dual Pro 3 Bank Marine Battery Charger, the one Ranger puts in their boats. Will this charger charge the Duracell AMG batteries?

Why not just go to Wal Mart and get Everstart, they are as good or better than any other battery you can buy They are cheap and easily replaced because Wally World is everywhere- that is their benefit. As good or better than any other battery you can buy?????? Simply not true.
