For your Adult children? I am planning on spending 100.00 on a nice gift that they can open, then get stocking stuffers that are fairly cheap just wondered what anyone else did for their Grown kids?

We spend way too much on grandkids so there's not much left for the adult kids, but they always get something they want if they give us that list we always ask for about this time of year.

Usually just give money about $500 to my adult son and some gift cards to his step kids.

We usually give $500 to two or three different charities. And the kids....too much. One thing that we have finally quit doing is trying to buy for everyone. Just can't do that and buy an appropriate gift. We've had many a fights through the holidays because of my wife always trying to buy for everyone. It's not feasible, anymore!

Between our 5 kids and our Grandkids I would say around $5,000.

Too damn much

That's a good number for us. We give either cash or gift cards though. Over the years we bought and have received way too many gifts that ended up in the trash or a garage sale. Some may think that cash and cards are cold hearted but I love to get a gift card or cash for Bass Pro or Academy etc. Always good to stock up on ammo, knives etc.

About a grand on my kids, and then about $400-500 total on everyone else. I have almost got everyone on board with giving only gift cards for me. Everything I want is going to cost over $1000, and I don't expect to get it as a present. Get me a gift card and I will let them pile up for a while until I can actually buy what I want.

Instead of spending money or giving money to an adult I would prefer to give something to a kid that otherwise wont get anything

IMO, it’s childish for grown folks to get gifts. I haven’t had a Christmas gift since I graduated college in 1986. When my wife and I had our son we stopped giving gifts to each other so we could spend that money on our son. Now we give gifts to children in the family and don’t receive from anyone. Christmas has been blown out of the reason for Christmas to just give me, give me. No one remembers the reason for the season but just give me. Naw, I ain’t Scrooge just my opinion.
