Anyone try the Cadence lineup of baitcasting rods from Amazon?

Price looks right for getting a couple rods for a new guy gettin started.

Any reviews or thoughts?

Detailed review here : https://sdfish.com/forums/t/gear-review-cadence-cr-7.163909/

I don't like the notation that they are using #4 and #5 guides for most of the rod. WAY too small for a spinning rod. Undoubtedly done to minimize weight but at the expense of usability. Too much of a reduction in size from the reel spool to the first guide.

You would likely (in my opinion) be far better off buying a used rod of known quality from someone on here or someone that you know.

I'd say try it. I've been buying bass equipment for 35+ yrs. I've gone full circle between only getting what I could afford when I was a youngster to buying what I once only dreamed of owning as a compulsive older dude. What I've learned is equipment is a confidence thing. It's amazing how "good" a new combo becomes after you catch your first few bass on it. The technology put into the lower priced (under $100) rods & reels today, is far superior than stuff that sold for much higher prices just a few years back.
Case in point, I came across Piscifun and tried out their Carbon X baitcaster (under $70 reel) I liked it so much, I bought 4 more. The last time I bought baitcasting reels was 5 years ago and I was paying $299 each for Revos.

It's in the eyes and hands of the beholder.
Good Fishing!

Good Fishing!

I agree with this. I am done being a tackle snob. My kastking speed demon pro jerkbait rod performs better than my Dobyns Champion Extreme which costs $320. My piscifun phantom reel outperforms my tatulas.

I currently fish two Piscifun Torrent reels on two Piscifun Torrent one piece rods and I love this combo. I would suggest it to anyone who asks.
