A shot in the heel and a GOOD pair of Ariat boots cured me.

Get one of those massage balls, about the size of a tennis ball but they are solid and hard. From a standing position, place your foot on it and roll on it with as much pressure as you can back and forth. They also make a sock for this that you wear over night to pull your toes back to stretch it out. This will help you to be able to stand when you get up from sleeping or sitting. To me that is the hardest part of having it, the foot is so tender when you stand up from resting position.

Also, don't walk around barefoot, get some good sandals or house shoes to give your foot support.
