I had wedge that I would stand on, while keeping my back up against the wall. Stretched my heels and calves real well.

Yes, I've had it and it is very painful. An exercise that I was given by my gp helped a lot and is pretty simple. Sit down with your leg extended straight out. Put a strap (belt) around your foot just below the toes and pull on it pretty hard. Release and do it again. Do it several times a day. You can probably find this procedure on the internet. Fortunately I have not had a recurrence of the problem. Good luck.

I had it during my running days. First time was painful but stretching exercise helped somewhat. Doc had me do a couple of exercises using a large surgical tube, placing below my toes and pulling. Also had me stand and stretch doing basically the same thing. Fast forward a couple of years later and had another occurrence. This time stretching did not work at all and very painful. Ended up with cortisone injections in my heel and had to stop running. Now I walk and occasionally have issues but nothing that I can not handle. Still do stretching exercises.

Yes...had it. Stretching helped. Rest helped.

AF made us live with feet of aircraft. We did our running on the flight line.

I would be fine as long as we were running. But about five minutes or so after we stopped...it was fight back tears time.

Yes... it lasted about 6 months to a year. Never found a cure.. just had to get up and get moving to work out the soreness. It finally went away... but I would scream and holler every morning getting out of bed.

Yes several times. Foot doc Would inject straight in to my foot in between the big toe and the second toe with a 2 inch needle. Used some kind of a pain killer product and a steroid. Now I just wear better shoes with better supports and that fixed the problem.

Mine started when I changed from Asics to Brooks shoes at work. Was really bad and hurt continually while I was up. Saw a foot specialist a couple of times and got the steroid injection. Nothing helped. It went on for almost a year and slowly went away. My pain was just forward of my heel and was excruciating for someone who works on their feet. I stayed in the Brooks shoes only about a month.

I still get a twinge every now and again but nothing serious in the last 8 years. I've heard that rolling something across the sole of the foot across the plantar region (like a can) will stretch and condition the ligaments.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Stretch like mentioned with a belt behind the toes and hold for 30+ seconds then release. Do several of these each morning and evening.

Better shoes like mentioned. I now wear a mid hiking boot and it has helped. I was told by an ortho about Merrells and have worn them ever since.

Climbing a ladder several times a day will cause mine to get aggravated.

Had it for a couple years. Nothing I tried worked. Just have to deal with it.

I spend almost all my steps on concrete. I had it so bad it was crippling. Went to Doctor, after all the Physical therapy, stretching , golf ball rolling, frozen water bottle rolling , it was at the point of surgery. Nothing worked. I tried on a pair of Sketchers with memory foam. instant game changer. Within a couple of months I had zero issues. I now have 7 or 8 pairs of sketchers with memory foam. they have many varieties. So don't think you are stuck wearing tennis shoes. Pretty much all I wear now. Even my scooter boots.
