Since I run a guide service I always have a spare one on standby in case I do run into problems. I have an extra extra spare if you want one slightly discounted that I am selling.

Belt? Guess I need to look at this, thanks

The belt is part of the shaft. You won't be disappointed in the purchase.

To anyone interested in upgrading their Gen 1 Ulterra Trolling Motor into a Gen 2:

Call Minn Kota 1-800-227-6433

Part number and Price Below:

There are Two Options Available

iPilot / Part Number #2884119 / Cost $515 / Converts your Basic Gen 1 Ulterra into a Gen 2 Ulterra. (Comes With Control Head, New Remote, Hockey Puck (Heading Sensor). Old Remotes will not work with new control head.

iPilot Link/ Part Number #2884117/ Cost $820 / Does the above, but has the ability to work with certain Hummingbird Units. drive to way points, etc.

I do not have Hummingbird anything...so I went with option #1.

If you have Hummingbird then you may be interested in option # 2.

Feel free to have a Minn Kota Representative explain the pros of option #2 if you want to go that route and run hummingbird equipment on your boat.

We had no idea this upgrade was an option until the last time the subject came up on the forum.

We ordered the upgrade kit option #1 right away as soon as we found out about it, and we do not regret the decision.

Hope this helps.

As far as the quick release bracket we have our Ulterra Trolling motor mounted on the Lift Saver Trolling Motor Mount and we can quickly detach the trolling motor if we need too.

I had a terravoa with the quick release bracket and bought a ulterra auto stow and the bracket bolts up to it just fine, just like the terravoa.
