Fly fished the Paluxy River last Sunday from about 9 - 6:30 We saw a few fish but no luck getting them to bite. At one point had a school of catfish swimming around us which was pretty cool. Managed to catch 5 very small perch on an olive size 12 wooly bugger. A small group of us left a Reel Recovery outing for an hour or so to try out the Paluxy on Sunday. Pretty much same results. One guy caught 2 tiny bluegills. We were also fishing a pond on the nearby Gosdin ranch which is just full of nice bass, sunfish, and catfish. Hardly anybody caught anything. The weekend was just not great for fishing.

Looks like a nice trip. I need to get back to the Paluxy before winter, since it pretty much shuts down from December to March.

Nice job. I caught me a five pound channel last weekend in the Paluxy. Interesting looking catfish I caught too. He had the anal fin of a channel, but the colors and slope at the head of a blue. All we could come up with was that it was some kind of hybrid blue. Either way, over 12 inches and tasted great lol.

Fished the Paluxy today from 11-3. Got skunked but the weather was incredible and the scenery was second to none
