Going out on Lewisville Saturday. Curious is anyone is having luck and if you think deadsticking may be a viable option? I haven't been out in a while so I've completely lost touch with what the lake is doing now a days. Taking my dad out and I'd like to get him on some fish. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes deadsticking and slight movement is an option. I caught hybrids yesterday at FPH deadsticking as well as using live shad

The cold front Thursday and Friday should help. If the forecast holds true for next week (highs in the 50's and lows in the 20's and 30's all week) water temps should drop right into the prime dead sticking range and should kick off the deadsticking season

You may want to try Ray Roberts, Lewisville has been tough this year...

Water temp was in the high 50s this past Monday morning on Lewisville. It might have warmed up a bite with the warm days we just had.

Dead sticking has been working of late on Bporte and PK. Tandem set up large drop eyelet on top jig three foot tag line with half ounce jig and 4 inch fluke on bottom. Moving via wind drift or into wind with troller is key. @.4 to .5 mph max. Find the bait , fish the bait , thump and they will bite.

I’ve been getting reports from several people who are deadsticking while using their Bobo’s Thumpers on all the north Texas lakes and it definitely is working now.

Thumping works and brings in crappie and catfish too if you want a mixed bag!
