I had a great time. Thanks to Brian, Finley and Donovan for talking with me and teaching me a bit about carp fishing. There were quite a few catfish caught, but some carp and buffalo were reeled in as well. I ended up with a channel catfish and my first smallmouth buffalo, which tipped the scales at 14 pounds, 4 ounces. Still looking for my first carp but that is just a good reason to get back out on the water sooner rather than later.

Had a blast Saturday meeting all the new faces! Slow but steady action allowed us to get a few newbies on some fish, unfortunately the fish didn't really start to move in until after 3PM.

One upside to slower action - we had plenty of time to familiarize everyone with the whats, hows, and whys of Carp fishing!

Thanks to all for coming out - I wish the fish were a bit more active in the morning when everyone was there but that's fishing for ya! Here's hoping that our next event is even bigger with more and bigger fish thumb
