I have a 1999 Johnson 200 JPLEEN Model.

Its all orginal owned in family since new. The lower intake screens were getting brittle, so I took it to a place in Rockwall. They replaced the screens and talked me into a lower unit reseal since it was close to being all the way apart. Said it was done, took to lake and it would not go in reverse, so they said it was fluke cable was bad. Replaced shifter and hot foot cable said ready to go. Me and my daughter went to lake and unloaded boat. It went in reverse for a few minutes then it started clicking sound while prop is spinning in reverse, so put in foward in gear and went to run out and come back while others where loading unloading at boat ramp, it dies, anything over half throttle it just chokes out and dies, while in foward gear, in neatraul you can rev it up to test and it wont die or stall. So back on trailer. The marine place I had it says there phone number is disconected even afte this place came highly recomended.

So I need someone who is familiare with Carb Johnson outboards and who knows how to troubleshoot.

I am a retired and now private master diesel mechanic on heavy equipment and trains along with level 4 gas mechanic so I know going behind someone else can be a b!tch but I work 12-15 hrs a day 5-7 days a week and when i am ready to go to the lake it would be nice.

I live on Lake Lavon and willing to drive 1 hr or more for some one who knows there stuff.

Thanks for your time.
