Next in line for the non-existent top water bite bet! I could always use some more fishing gear!

Doesn't matter what the air temps are its the water temps that matter to the fish. I've caught buzzbait fish on Fork, Rayburn, Tawakoni and Worth in December and January, February. I think more than anything its a 100% reaction bite in the colder months. If I am up shallow and see any activity I will throw one especially if there has been a day or more of warming weather.

Lake Worth was 61 degrees Sunday afternoon at the mouth of the river.... caught quite a few topwater fish at dusk on pop r and walking bait. Today I'm betting that water is in the low 50's, bout time to start ripping a trap in the hydrilla!

Go find them. EVERY lake has a population of shallow fish. Drop your TM and get to chunking. You will hit one or two in the head.

Grapevine was 63-65deg on Monday when I fished. Bait was beginning to move into the coves and there was a lot of shad in shallow water(6-8ft). Fishing was incredibly slow ahead of the front.
