I have F350 crew cab long bed and a older Ranger that you have to put a lot of truck in the water to get boat off trailer. I ready previous post about someone pulling a friend out that had a two wheel drive truck. Which mine is. It's a pretty good way for me to drive to have problems at the ramp. Thoughts on ramp and weather on might get stuck in dirt on the ramp.

I wouldn't worry about it. Been doing it back when the store was open with a two wheel drive. I have never had anyone have to pull me out.

Assuming it's diesel, the problem is that diesel will get stuck easier than these F150's these guys are running

Been there and done that!

the diesel is heavier at the front, not the rear, they don't get stuck any easier than a half ton,(on a concrete ramp)
trick is in the rear end I/e positrack, or locked ..
btw , if you clean your bunks with a pwr washer and put a little clear silicon on them that boat will slide right off

So can anyone verify that you can currently safely launch and load a 21' boat with a non 4x4 half ton truck? Any help on finding that out is appreciated.

The lake is lower than I’ve ever seen it. You will be taking a chance without 4 wheel drive. [Linked Image]

Looks to be a 4x4 only ramp now. Getting boat off the trailer is easy now getting it back up might be issue especially if ur alone

Looking at that current pic. I wouldn't try in a 2 wheel drive diesel

Anyone have a tractor with a bucket on it? That will fix the problem of the sand on the ramp (at least for awhile).

I was there this past weekend with my 20' ZX200 bug and no four wheel drive and did fine. It appears like someone has cleaned all that silt off already because I didn't see anything like in that picture on the ramp Sunday. (Or the water level has come up)
