Heading to Rayburn next weekend, never fished it, would like to get a guide to show me around, not interested in how many I catch, but interested in where to run, avoid, etc. I would appreciate any suggestions

Which days are you looking at? I might be available.
The lake is almost 3 ' low right now which is one of the more dangerous water levels with a lot of the stumps being right under the water. Some people will chime in on this post and mention some other resources that are pretty good, however, I would not utilize them when the water is low. The pucker factor is high watching people run through areas that were safe when the water was a foot higher. Additionally, we are probably going to catch a bunch as well and it will be 100% offshore. We will see them on the graph and catch them when we stop. It is a great time of year to learn how to target fish using side imaging. You won't need a guide if you just want to beat the bank. You can idle anywhere you visibly see pads or hydrilla in the backs of creeks and throw a frog or a weightless fluke on your own. You will probably have a less than stellar trip if you go that route.

Clark came in here and basically told you what I would want to hear. Graphing lessons, where to run and where to be cautious and a promise to catch 'em. That's bank right there.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

After owning a cell phone since 2001, I final dropped one in the lake for the first time ever. My new one is ordered and will be here sometime next week. (479)970-3388
I am currently at Sam Rayburn(Lakeview's WIFI) but will be home late tomorrow night and can call from my home phone or wife's cell if you want to DM me your number. Unfortunately, I am already booked on the 6th and 7th but can call you and discuss alternative options or make some other recommendations for someone to hire if those are the specific dates you are needing.

Another vote for Clark if you can get him. A wizard with electronics and knows Rayburn like the back of his hand. Pretty good fisherman, too
