I see 2 pu's 1 between the black & white buick and the ford station wagon maybe another behind that. hard to tell. Another in the shadow between the 2 trees.

My dad towed our fishing boat with a 69 Ford LTD 429 C.I. Locomotive. That thing would get rubber on a hard downshift at 60 mph. 4 grown men would not fit in a single cab truck. That LTD was bigger than our Chevy 1/2 ton short bed.

no crew cabs or supercabs. I remember when Supercabs first came out. I was tempted to buy one after a lady totalled my 1983 F150. In my mind being single I could not justify the added cost.

very few people pulled our boats long distances back then and if you did ,you could expect problems with the small tire trailers we used.....notice the trailers and small tires in the above picture....

Most of those cars probably had 3 on the tree. Well after that era but the old Ford C6s and the 4 speeds with granny low were probably the most durable trannies. Buddy got in mine to back the trailer down the ramp and he said did you know this thing will start in gear with the the clutch engaged. I thought carp I forgot to tell him it was a manual.
