For about a month, I've had some bad hesitation and even stalling out when putting the throttle down to get on plane. Motor starts fine and idles fine. Then last weekend I couldn't even get on plane. I did a seafoam shock treatment and that helped a lot but she still jumps and hesitates. When trying to get on plane, it jumps forward for a split second at a time but then rpms drop and she struggles. Once on plane, it will reach max rpms for a second or two but then the speed drops back to only 35mph.
Its a '99 Yamaha 115 2-stroke. I suspect since the seafoam helped that its a carb problem. Should I just go ahead and get them rebuilt? Could these symptoms mean a clogged fuel filter? The gas line and bulb were replaced at the beginning of the year. Any thoughts or suggestions?

what kind of fuel line did you replace with??
i use the blue line, no liner in it for ethanol to deteriate.

Its the Marine Raider brand, got it at Academy. Could that be the problem? (I did get the yamaha version, not the mercury one pictured)

I would replace the fuel filter before doing anything else, ethanol tends to cause condensation which can clog a filter.

i'd take it apart and check to see if it has a liner. supposedly the new gray line has a blue stripe on it that is supposed to be ethanol rated.. i still don't trust it.. i use either the high dollar blue line, or atleast get the black fuel injection line from an auto parts store with a new blue primer bulb, and make your own setup.

Ok didn't see this before but it looks like one of my spark plug wires exploded. Maybe the power loss was from running a cylinder short?

I read about a couple cases of this and it seems that if the connection comes loose it can cause arcing and melt the plastic.

Thats the blue stuff. 5/16 can be hard to find if thats what goes to your Yammy. I bought a 10 foot roll from JWMarine and a 5/16 bulb.

The new lines are ethanol RESISTANT, not PROOF. Be prepared to change them out, depending on usage and storage.

It's fixed! I replaced the plugs and that messed up terminal and boot. Took her out this evening and she ran like brand new! Even gained 3mph on her top speed, from cleaning the carbs I would guess.
