Took my wife out for her birthday yesterday. We were on the lake by 12:30 and off by 4:30. Started out slabbing at the spillway humps. They wanted the "Luck of the Irish" special lead baby slabs. It was catching 10 to 1 to other slabs. Probably caught 30-40 keeping the largest 12-15. Then we broke out the hellpets. We caught fish everwhere we tried, Spillway humps, Merimac point, and the rock house accross the lake. Also caught one keeper hybrid. We had a blast and she had a great birthday.

Cool. Pretty good drive from Longview to CC?
I went with Duck Jerky Saturday and killed the big crappie.

oh no, not the hellpet already. seems too early. We tried hellpets this weekend and caught a few whites. I guess it's not to early here too.
