Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone has heard of outlast heavy duty coolers or hooked coolers? They look like yeti knockoffs (can't afford a yeti). I wanted a hard side cooler that would get stood on in the boat. Size wise I like the Yeti 35, it seems a good combination of size and weight I wouldn't mind hauling around. Anyone have any thoughts. I was leaning towards a rtic 45 (kind big for just myself) but discovered these "other" brands. https://outlastlife.com/about-us/

I have not heard of this brand, but just glancing at the link, dont look much different than a lot of others.
I have a Yeti, also have a small Artic, and I also have a couple of the Ozark Trail brand from Wal Mart. Ozark seem to be holding up and holding ice, just as long as my Yeti. Also, different Wal Marts tend to have different sizes on sale right now.
I have looked at several different brands, and really dont see much difference, other than money. Yeti makes a good product, but is just way over priced - in my opinion...

I understand that many brands of these rotomolded coolers are made in the same facility.

Rotomolded coolers are all fairly equal at ice retention, assuming the same thicknesses of foam. Bigger coolers hold ice longer; smaller coolers not as long. I have Yeti, Rtic, K2, and Ozark Trail coolers. All great. I bought an Ozark Trail 35 quart at Walmart for $86 (regular price) for the poling skiff, and it's awesome. Big enough for a casting platform (I seldom use one), big enough for a seat for those times a third person is aboard, and holds plenty of Gatorade and water for two or three people, with ice lasting a couple of days in summer. Also big enough for those occasional times that I decide to take home two or three fish for dinner. At $86 you can't go wrong.....

They do the special logos and repair work on the injection dies. Can’t really say more than that without permission, but both are top-notch companies. I have a few of their tumblers. I have seen and held one of their coolers. They’re definitely as good as YETI. JR
