Yep,... My old stomping grounds. My Great grandfather rented his draft horses to the WPA during the depression to build Lake Crockett and Coffee Mill .... pulling blades with my grandfather supervising. Know any of the Cox clan Hop? I am sure there are still a bunch of them there. They owned thousands of acres of that black dirt in the river bottom growing cotton.

I have walked in the bottom of that lake and have been on the actual falls. They drained the lake in 84 or 85. The whole town was out there walking around in the lake bottom. It really was a surreal experience.
