Our church will be having a men and boys camp out at the Atlanta State Park November 7th 8th and 9th.... Does anybody know much about the crappie fishing there? Or any general information that I need to be aware of about the lake?... thanks... PM me if necessary and if I could never return the favor I will.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Haven’t seen porkchop80 post in a while but that’s his backyard. May be worth shooting him a PM for pointers.

like most lakes in NE TX, crappie fishing has been very slow. maybe in a month, the water will cool and crappie get hungry. its a good lake, just slow right now.
Good luck

I've fished wright patman in the fall/ winter several times. Possibly one of the better/easiest lakes to catch crappie in that time period. Get in the river and fish tree tops you will catch fish. Period end of story. I do it out of a flat bottom duck hunting boat with no electronics and no trolling motor.
Have fun
Ps that river is tricky follow someone in.
