The 100 plus bass a day has started!!!
We had a 5 boat party Thursday and Friday had over 1000 bass caught between us with several over 5 up to 8lbs. We counted because they had a mini tournament between boats I am not going to say which boat won but THEY WERE IN A SKEETER. Today we ripped them again, off the lake by 1:30 with just under a hundred. My customers couldn't take anymore they wanted to save their strenght for tomorrow.
The lake has dropped a couple feet but I hear they will stop pulling it this week. The water temp is mid to high 70's and the grass is getting juicy. I haven't fished much top water the past week but it should be right!! Haven't dropped any grass but it is getting right!!
I have been on main lake flats and points drifting 5" and 7" senkos Tx rigged with a tru-tungsten 3/16th weight and 16lb gama flourocarbon. 20 to 28 feet with most of the better fish out of the 25 to 28 feet. Lots of schoolies out on those points, look for the turns ( small white birds) diving. The schools of bass are usually over deep grass, the small fish will be on the surface with better fish down on the grass.
Have also been catching a few with dd22 on 10lb flouro in the same areas.
Thanks,
Ray Hanselman

Dang Ray, you're making it hard for me to keep hating Amistad.grin

I may have to book a trip with you so I can get that beast figured out.

It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, all that matters is that you beat the leprachaun.
