Academy has been out of stock for a while. Anyone know where else I could snag a few gallons?

Thanks.

Fun and sun sales it in bulk thinking it’s cheaper if you bring your own jug.

I order from suncoast marine oil. Currently $116 for a case of 4 jugs. I order a case at a time and stay ahead of my stock.

Yamaha doesn’t own a refinery, run Pennzoil. It all comes from the same spout!

I run Penzoil Premium Plus in mine. Burns much cleaner than Yamlube.

I’ve been running Mercury oil in my Yamaha since day one — more than 10 years

It’s about $20 at Academy

Academy used to sell Citgo 2 cycle oil, its the same as Yamlube or it used to be. Don't let anybody tell you that Yamaha adds speical pixy dust and other additives. Its the same oil, comes from the same distribution center in Chicago or used too. One guy posted a few years back on one of the salt water forums about buying a case of Yamalube and some of the qtrs said Citgo when he opened the box.

Citgo was one of my accounts for many years, I sold them process control systems to run their refinery in Corpus for many years. I can't recall which lubes plant they make 2 cycle oil at, I think its in Lake Charles. Citgo also helped come up with the TCW3 spec. per one of the guys I called on.

With all that said somebody else could have the contract for Yamalube now days. Either way it can be bought in bulk cheap if you look around. I used to buy it bulk at Gunderland Marine in Corpus when I would make sales calls on Citgo but Gunderland went out of business. Gunderland used to sell it cheap but that was 10 years ago.

Thanks, Billy

This. Go talk to any good outboard tech and ask them what the inside of an engine looks like thats only run dino oil yamalube compared to one thats run Pennzoil premium plus or some other semi-synthetic or full synthetic 2 stroke oil, you might be surprised.
