I think after this weekend that we can officially say the DFW area has the worst pro sports teams in the USA. Cowboys, Stars, Rangers and Mavs. Not a world championship among them in at least 15 years(I didn't want to goggle it). Can anybody think of any area that is worse.

Mavs won several years ago (less than 15) and the Rangers were in the World Series not that long ago. The cowboys are in the playoffs or contenders regularly. New York has like six teams the regularly are terrible. The Yankees are good but not great. Pittsburg hasn’t been great in a long time. Minnesota isn’t great. I could probably go on, but I don’t want to google it.

IMHO the metroplex professional sports owners just want to make money and don’t really care about winning championships.There has been a whole generation grow up here that have seen very little championships.

San Diego....
Padres have been to two World Series 1984 against Detroit and 1988 against the Yankees.
Chargers have been to one Super Bowl 1994 against the 49ers...
The had the San Diego Clippers (now Los Angeles Clippers) 1978 - 1984
Only thing San Diego has is the beautiful weather and big bass...

San Diego....

Pretty sure the Dodgers beat the A's in the 88 WS. I didn't Google it though.

Portland,Seattle,NOLA,Phoenix haven't done anything noteworthy in many years. I'll take my chances with the DFW teams.

The Stars are in a "beginning of the season" funk.
They will figure it out, and they will make the playoffs, most likely in the 4-7 spot.
Once in the playoffs, and with two good goalies, they have a good shot.
Bishop is playing terrible right now, but so are many players. They "will" figure it out.
Coach Montgomery got them playing well last season, and he'll figure it out again.
Go Stars..............................................................................................................................................................yep, I'm really annoyed with them as well. As a season-ticket holder, I expect more, but this start does blow!
