Being that CCM has Texas ties, what’s your educated guess on the next few seasons results? Does he just need new coordinators. Can a team losing so many games still recruit themselves to be better. We had a 4star player decomit after the loss.

I’ve wondered why Jerry doesn’t do the things (at the same level) for Arkansas that T. Boone did for OSU.

CCM needs a little wiggle room. I don’t thing he had anything to pick from when he got there. The main thing he’s got to do is recruit Texas. The roster is pretty thin with Texas players.

IMO it's gonna be hard for him to get the guys he needs out of Texas, the state of Texas is wide open and kids want to go somewhere and win. Not sure if Arkansas made the right choice Morris was a good OC for Clemson and he did ok at SMU against weaker competition. Not all good OC's/DC's make good head coach's, totally different running an entire program. I don't think he makes it past next football season.

Just had dinner with a cousin that’s a high school coach. Problem is there’s not enough kids playing the sport anymore. His roster in 2010 had 110 players. This year 64. Not enough elite players playing the game. So once the big six as he calls it (Bama, OU, Texas, Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame) recruits the top 100 players the “average” or 3 star player would have been an unranked or 1 star player 10 years ago. Look at programs like Nebraska, USC, Arkansas and aTm. There is not enough talent to fill the rosters which means there is going to be bad teams when they have to play the powerhouses. Until kids get back to playing football early on, this is the direction college football is headed. No matter how much money you throw at it!

Going to the SEC was a terrible move for Arkansas. Plain and simple.
