I am fishing a few lakes in the next month with deep heavy hydrilla. I found some 5" zoo. Swimmer Shad baits at a sucks sidewalk sale. Would it make sense to throw on a 4 ought keep weighted hook in hydrilla and milfoil?

Slow rolling a big weedless soft swimbait over the top og grass like that can result in some pretty fun fishing.

I personally have never used the zoom swimmer shad, but I use similar swimbaits in grass. If the grass isn’t extremely thick and/or I can find some isolated patches of grass I’ll throw it on an owner flashy underspin. Makes for some great fishing!

"The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad."
