Anyone seen one in person? I watched the YouTube video on Wiedas marine and it looked impressive. I wonder about the aluminum lids sweating and getting the boxes wet though.

I like it better than the super hyped Vexus for sure. I'm curious to see the real world, on the water testing from non-sponsored/non-employees and reviews.

Been in one and yes they are nice, rode well but would like to have been in a lot rougher conditions to really see how it handled it. Earl builds nice boats, this one is a nice, well built rig.

Did it want to chine walk? Earls boats are known to be built for speed and chine walk without driver input. I’m curious if the Caymas I’ll be the same?

I am fairly sure most bass boats that will run upper 70's plus will require driver input. Earl builds a good product, have not seen the Camus in person, looks to be a good boat.

I say this to my customers every day.... fast vee hulls chine walk, period. If it is shaped like a vee, and is fast enough to truly get up on the drain plug... it’ll walk.

The Caymus has a Javelin bottom. Seems like they had trouble coming out of the hole.

I test drove a Demo at Sandy Creek Marina about a month ago. I have been in a Triton for over 20 years and I will tell you, I was very impressed, and I will take a hard look at this boat when I make my next trade. We had 60 % fuel, two full size men and both live wells full. I drove it like I stole it, reached 72 with a little room to spare and shut her down hard. Very stable and well built boat. Not enough chine to really mention. Hole shot was no problem even for the SHO.

The Caymus has a Javelin bottom. Seems like they had trouble coming out of the hole. That was before 250 V8 Mercs and 250 SHO's... My stepdad bought a javelin new in 1992. It had a 175 Johnson fastrike and it was plenty fast I know that. They handled good in rough water.
