So are we saying that shooting a scuba tank in a shark's mouth wouldn't actually blow up said shark?

Refocus now, let’s pivot back to the point of this thread now: Which bass boat oxygen systems are most dangerous?
A few Facts: Pure 100% oxygen gas definitely carries a much greater fire risk than ambient air especially @ 50 psi inside tubing, gasoline and 100% hydrogen gas is explosive, 100% oxygen gas oxygen is not explosive. High pressure O2 tanks and SCUBA tanks both 2200 psi carry the exact same risk of rupture and explosion on boats.
High pressure Compressed oxygen systems or Electrolysis type Oxygenators? Both deliver 100% pure O2 gas and both produce oxygen enrichment.
TP&WD Inland Fisheries and Marine Fisheries, the Texas Lunker Bass Program, homemade O2 systems, bass tournament live release boats and hauling trailers, Bass Master Classic tournaments as well as Bass Cat Boats all use and recommend using high pressure compressed oxygen injection (2200 psi O2 tanks)… 10 - 12 other bass boat manufactures promote and sell electrolysis Oxygenators with their boats.
How many Benziphobic people do you know? Guess what the name of “oxygen phobia” is?

It does not increase the risk of fire. There is no risk of fire with O2 because it is not flammable. The risk of fire on your boat stays the same whether you have an O2 system or not. What increases is the potential severity of the fire with O2.

If y’all are so dam concerned about these oxygen systems might I suggest you move to a kayak or canoe? The gas tank is more dangerous and combine it with possible loose battery wiring is way more hazardous than any oxygen system. and some more why don’t ya?

As with anything there is always a risk, i just don't think its more of a risk then storing 50g of gasoline on your boat.

Being a USN Airedale, I was trained to handle oxygen. Gaseous oxygen was never a concern. LOX is where the action is.
Carry on...

Without a doubt, the most dangerous system on any bass boat is the standard aereator that it comes equipped with..

Running on plane in the dark.... Floaters from recent floods.... 350 pounds of non-ethanol fuel.... Driving to the lake in the wee hours of the morning while left over drunks are still out.... Now, O2 in the boat....
We don't stand a chance.....

First off, let’s be clear, this PDF is not an advertisement nor promotion for James @ Falcon Lake Tackle, TP&WD Inland Fisheries, T-H Marine Oxygenators or any Bass Boat manufactures, boat dealer, fishing tackle business or bait shop that sells livewell oxygen injection systems, Oxygenators or any other boat O2 equipment.
The PDF below came from James@FalconLakeTackle.com , I assume this is James Bendele who sent this 6 page pdf document because he is the owner of this tackle store and the #1 TP&WD oxygen injection system salesman and promoter.
Falcon Lake Tackle sells and promotes the TP&WD oxygen injection systems to bass fishermen and bass boats. “ Oxygen System for Your Boat! Developed by TPWD”

These 6 pages of O2 safety and explosion facts looks pretty important, might even sound important to any of you that are using pure O2 on your bass boats. It’s really easy to discount, make fun of and blatantly scoff at all this factual O2 safety information when you don’t use O2, oxygen injection systems or Oxygenator and don’t like the new O2 technology to keep bass alive in summer tournaments and become agitated at the sound of bass boat O2 technologies. Many people do have real “oxygen phobias” which is nothing to really be ashamed of, phobias just happens to some people. Just be safe and stay away from pure O2, no big deal.
*Air is always safer than pure 100% oxygen anywhere on a bass boat anytime and air is not scary either.

James at Falcon lake Tackle has never sold or installed an oxygen system in any boat other than his own.
This system was developed by TPWD biologists in an effort to help save the lives of fish.
If you knew anything about computers or the internet you would know that the PDF that you assume that I sent to you was linked from my website..
A link is a thing you put your cursor over and click on and then it is quite possible that you will be taken off site..
If you look at the footnotes of said same PDF/Website you will see that I and many others assisted in the testing of this system.
And after seeing the results of its use it is a no brainer if you want to keep your fish alive.. So I figure even you could see the advantages..
That is why I promote the use of oxygen systems.. Cause I give a [censored] about the fish..
Some folks that have no mechanical sense probably should not try to install one of these in their boat..
And I don't recommend putting your oxygen bottle or lines in the bilge.. Plenty of room for bottle and lines in other compartments away from ignition sources..
But then again.. You can't ignite oxygen..
I wonder how many people on the TFF actually graduated from Junior High..
How do you do those poll things?
