You should fish with Cole or Mike with Get Fishy Charters. Had a great experience with them.

We made it to Galveston. Weather too rough to fish beach front for Tarpon and Sharks. But had a great time with the Bull Reds and a nice Black drum. All between 20 and 30 lbs [Linked Image]

Yea I try to set up a nice pic for my customers without me in the pic... it's for them not me. But I will say I dont let my customers hold sharks. Sharks are like a rattlesnake and blow up at anytime.....

You ought to hear him call in on the 610 am fishing show on the weekends occasionally-He and Capt. Mickey bicker like schoolgirls.

Capt Mike Williams is still up to his old ways. He screwed us over 22 years ago. went out with him and he parked his boat, through out a few mudfish on c-rigs and commenced to sit his fake arse down and traded stock on his cell phone. it was the worst guide experience I have ever had. he is the reason I have always been reluctant to choose a inshore/near shore saltwater guide. what a waste

My first Private guide trip was with him and it was a disaster I tried to forget it happened until I saw this post. Was back in 2009 I booked a Red and Flounder trip with him for me and two buddies after seeing his website that still looks the same today. He called me less than 48 hours prior to the trip and said a cold front came in and was going to be high wind and waves and said he recommend we cancel but then he said He can take us to a special location he has that might be OK. I agreed as the weekend was already planned and I took vacation days off to go. We get on the boat at the ramp and then he drove us 300ft into a corner in the Marina we were already at. Then he started explaining there is a lot of fish inside the marina and nobody is allowed to fish there but he has special privileges and we could possible catch our limit while waiting out the winds then maybe later head out to a few more spots before the end of the day. Sadly and depressingly we fished and caught a total of 2 silver trout. then i caught a pink color ell and he freaked out and said don't bring in the boat. Then he tried to flick the ell off my hook with his tool and when he did he broke the Tip off my new $350 G loomis Travel Rod. The rod was repair but cost me $40 in shipping. After the wind calmed down, He drove us over and parked in front of Wolf Park for 1 hour about 1 cast away from the people fishing on the bank. Then we drove back to the ramp where the Game Warden was waiting to count our limits and we were so mad we stormed off the boat past the Warden and even they were confused where all our fish was. We ended up leaving the two trout on the boat and after a nice lunch we all went to a fish Market and bought out all the Red Fish to take home to our wife's to keep them form talking Sh*t.

I will bet some of those call were to his Stock broker, When I went with him in the late 80 's, that is what he did,

so you're saying he "traded stock on his cell phone" in the late 80's?

No, I said he spent most of the trip on the phone, some of the calls ( most) were to a stock broker.

most people didn't have phones in the 80's...and if they did, they were those brick phones and were ultra expensive. Not doubting your story...just your timeline.
