Anyone know if the striper are biting topwater and swimbaits in the mornings yet?

Not yet, water temps still mid 80's. did not see much top water activity. Stripers still scattered all through out the lake. The shad hatch seemed to be really good. Clouds of shad with stripers right under the huge schools of 1"-2" shad . Still not getting much on artificials

I watched a guide bring in a limit of big stripers on Sunday. He said almost all of them were caught on topwater early, but he said you have to search out the locations to find where they are pushing up the bait. He had several fish over 30".

I’ve seen videos where they were catching big stripers on topwater at Whitney last week. Where? I have no clue. They were fishing a very shallow flat wind blown point.

They all went over the dam and guides snatched up what was left lol.
