I was when I was a teenager. My dad had a shop behind our house and I helped him restore a dozen cars/trucks during my high school years. The ones that are worth mentioning; 51 chevy coupe 53 chevy coupe 55 chevy coupe 54 and 56 chevy truck 67 Ford Mustang
A lot of hard work but the end results were worth it.
This thread needs more cowbell ...

When I was younger, worked in a shop where we restored HP Fords. Cobra's, Boss 429's, Boss 302's, Ford Thunderbolts.

Was always my dream when I had my 67 Fairlane to put a 67 side Oiler 427 in it ! Those motors were flat out unbeatable back then .

Used to be a 53-54 Chevy named " Snuff Box " that ran at Circle Drag Strip in Dallas that was absolutely unbeatable. Some black guys owned it and I was almost embarrassed to run my '57 Chevy against it. Got beat everytime as did everyone else.

Not sure if this qualifies as classic...but... Getting ready to do a rebuild. Upping the 360 to a 390. 4x4 F100 1972.

just stating that for a friend I've seen that several times on local strips. Not so much at Green Valley. Nitrous and turbo's can turn a 4 banger into a monster.

Love classics! I've got a 68 GTO that found 15 years ago. Numbers matching, 400 HO with 4 speed. This car was a in bad shape when I found. Fun getting it put together. If you look closely at the left fender you'll see a ding there. Motorcycle fell over and smacked it right before I took the picture.
