For what its worth talked to a guy named Robert at the Wichita Falls office and he said at present there are no plans to put
smallmouth bass in PK. Lake time they were stocked was 2003 and that was a year when they had a GA event.

He did say that there are some smallmouth still in the lake based on angler reports-could be anglers mis-identifying the bass
species but may be true.

There only one way to stock anything different in PK other than what TPW does all ready.
That would be for us to start a group like the Lake Tawakoni Sportmans Club.
They raise money and stock hybrids they purchase.
I am in if someone wants to run it.

I am also in if someone wants to put on some striper tournaments.
With two businesses I can participate but canโ€™t commit to running either.

Randy: I think that a lake association might be the answer. If TPWD would allow us to use donations to purchase fingerlings and put them in the lake that would be great.

What a shame that BRA and TPWD are not on the same page. BRA took out the electric generator. If PK still had those generators and the BRA kept them going we might have been able to keep some stripers in the lake and the ones below the dam would not be dying. I guess asking government agencies to think ahead is asking too much.
