You have a very brave son, and me and my family want him to know that he is a hero in our book already. We all need heroes to look up to... and I look up to your son and every other soldier in our military.
Our prayers are with him...

God bless him and take care of him. As soon as he gets there and gets a mailing address let me know and I will help him with a few dollars if needed or letters and mags from good ol USA. I served in MAM and know what it is to be lonely.

My nephew was deployed either yesterday or today. He is headed to Baghdad. I live in Crawford Texas, so I have seen both sides. I am proud of my nephew and your son. Our prayers are with them all! May God Bless!

Best of luck to your son. I was at Camp Speicher from the invasion to the end of April 2004 so I know what he is headed for. He's in one of the best units in the Army and I know he'll make you proud.

Our prayers and pride go with Cory and for his committment to go and "make a difference."
He stands for all of us!!
Our own son is currently "training up." We expect him to deploy in the Spring.

Please thank your son for me when you write him. I sleep safe and sound in a strong country because of strong young men like him. I served my time and was proud to do it. It helped me as a man too. I think you sent away a boy and will get back a man. That is the nice part of it. your son and the rest of the service people (men and women) are in my prayers every night. And that is not just a saying. now try and relax!!!! turn off that darn CNN and don't spend the whole day watching every single battle. if he is Airborn he is trained.. and trained good. Cosmic>

Dave,
Best wishes to your son, as many have stated, he's in a good unit, and I'm sure, will do a fantastic job. My son's unit will be going from Germany to Afghanistan in a few months...

You've got mine and my families prayers also. I just talked to my nephew for the first time yesterday since he got there. He's stationed somewhere near the Bahgdad airport. I've talked to him on email but it was great to hear his voice. I know he's not the kid I used to pick on any longer.
