I have a boat for sale. Guy sends message. He is excited. He will pay the full asking price. Thru all the “God bless yous”, he wants the boat for his dad.
How nice.

He wants to give me a partial payment..then so much every month.
Thanks, old and stupid might be related, but they are different conditions. I lend money to family if needed...others pay cash.

Tell him you'll take payments and he can have the boat once he makes the last payment.
Don't forget to charge him for interest and storage too!
