Got this in my email, and it's certainly worth taking a few minutes to watch: https://www.uslawshield.com/aches-p...er_nl&utm_campaign=september_18_2019The gist of this is that use of CBD oil products could make you an "unlawful user" of Federally controlled drugs under Federal law. Even in states where CBD products or marijuana are legal, Federal law still controls on topics like firearms ownership or possession. Scenario: You use State legal marijuana or CBD products. You go to buy a firearm and fill out the 4473, marking that you're not an unlawful user. Now you've just lied on the 4473 ... see where this is going? This is, to me, analogous to being intoxicated while carrying with an LTC. Even one drink could be enough for a cop to decide that you're "intoxicated" while you have your sidearm holstered. Neither situation is worth the risk to me. Sure, one could fight it and maybe win, but at what cost?

Guns, alcohol, and/or drugs don't mix.

I just returned from an elk hunt in Colorado. The outfitter sent out some rules of the camp and also noted it was illegal in Colorado to have a firearm and any type of cannabis or byproduct of while in possession of a firearm. I guess they have a lot of hunters that hit the green cross store before going hunting. Can't say I would like that mix myself and would not want to be in camp with anybody either. Some people get really paranoid on the stuff.

Some people get really paranoid on the stuff. I went on an elk hunt in Idaho last year and all the guides were smokin' the reefer. Based on how much they liked to hike while under the influence, I wouldn't want to go if they were sober. Saw your pic on the hunting forum, by the way. Heck of an elk.

Will CBD oil prevent rust or lube the bolt?

In this day and age if someone gets drunk with the firearm on them and gets stopped by the police they deserve to lose their ability to carry. It would show a lack of responsibility.

Isn’t there a big difference in using hemp derived CBD oil and marijuana derived CBD oil? The concern is the THC content and hemp derived products have THC content that falls well below legal limits.

Question: Does the fact that CBD is not an intoxicant come into play here anywhere? That’s my question as well. The criteria is the THC content. If it has more than 0.3% THC, then it still falls into the list of Federal controlled substances.
