It seems to me, if you are raped 3 times, there would be criminal charges files before you try for negotiated settlement and then file a civil case. Seems the sequence is somewhat wonky.

Happens alot to these athletes. Civil suit accusations and often they settle out of court to either shut them up or just pay them off. Regardless.... He's definitely a headcase and d-bag. Doesn't mean he's a rapist though. My guess is he'll get 4-5 game suspension because of the bad look for the NFL.
