Don’t ever run late and be stuck behind an old at security. TSA asks them questions about liquids and they look around confused. Constantly having to recheck their bags because they couldn’t understand tsa explaining unauthorized items. Don’t even get me started on how slow they are to take off their shoes.

The youngs are just as bad trying to get their kids with strollers and leashes through. Then you have to hope you're not on the same flight with their screaming kids. At least the olds are quiet during the flight. I have Global Entry which usually puts me in a different security line. Money well spent.

That's why you pay for priority security and boarding.

I know how you feel. I had to go through behind a group of 20+ year olds that could quit messing with their phones long enough to clear security. I feel your pain.

You Are correct. The youngs are just as bad but they tend to move quickly thru security because they need to get their Starbucks fix. In big groups the youngs are a total nightmare.

I'm flying to Puerto Rico next Saturday. There better not be some snowflake emotional support animal sitting next to me from Atlanta to San Juan.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

We're olds and we took a trip last week to Myrtle Beach for a few days. We are quick going through security. We check our luggage and only hand carry very small brief cases. The ones who hold up security are the anal retentives who have to have all of their earthly belongings compessed into a monster backpack or roller case. Same with getting on and off planes. We are ready to go and the lugs are spending minutes trying to jam and rearrange their shixt into the overheads. Airlines should charge for carryons, and check bags for free. That would stop a lot of that inconvenience.

While were talking about airport travel, I have a special dislike for DFW Airport. Especially when landing, normally from the time you land, till the time you start deboarding the plane it takes at least 30 minutes, I don't get it. Several times I have had to wait on the plane for our terminal to open up as it's occupied. I live in Weatherford and prefer to drive to Love Field when flying. Parking is terrible, they moved my take off flight 2 times last week, first from terminal A to B, then B to C. Worst Airport ever.

One more thing: Cargo type shorts (Dave² approved length) with several pockets are problematic for the x-ray screen machine. Both times security had to ask me and check the pockets on front.

Derek leaves the boarding area just so he can get scanned and frisked again.

The ones who dont speak English are the worst. Lets call it what it is.
But hey I understand, TSA tells them to take their laptops out of the bag and as far as they know they just told them to do 20 push ups. I would be freaked out if some dude was yelling at me in German barking commands and I have no idea what he was saying.
At customs last week, the window next to me is this friendly looking Customs Officer is chilling and this old Chinese couple comes up his window. He asks them when they are coming from and the old man says "No American English". The guy goes "Well thats ok what about Canadian English do you speak that? No? What about the English they speak in Australia do you speak that?" Talk about confused looks.

Airports and travel are a grind. Expect delays, expect it suck, bring your sense of humor. If you are in hurry, or think that having a "hurry the hell up" attitude will get you to your destination any faster you are wrong and will only stress yourself out.
Its a process. Trust the process.
