I get ate up with it when stuff like that happens to me...if I woulda set out to take that filter off and it wouldn’t, there’s no way I could sleep tonight. Might tear up $500 worth of other things on the mower but that s.o.b. would come off of there.

Screwdriver and a hammer will get that filter off.

I change the oil in my kawasaki every year. I do have to use the filter wrench on it, but it's not too bad with that. Darn near impossible to get off by hand.

I'd go get yourself a strap or wrench for next time around. Won't make a diff at 5 hours.

If you already have one of those tools and still can't get it off, I'd go find someone with a man card to help you.

I walked into my garage and tried by hand to take it off by hand. No go. So I poured my beer out and poured a glass of wine like a red blooded American and will throw my excess oil in neighbors driveway who likes to shoot guns at night. Win win

I’ve got an EZGO cart with a Kawasaki engine. I have to use oil filter pliers to get the filter off. It’s a pain. The pliers are the only way I can get to it and get it off.

I do like the flag on your mower. I feel inadequate now, mine does not have a flag. I'm on it.

Get it changed within the next 10 or 15 hours. You'll need better filtration for the engine breaking in. You get more metallic particles in the oil.
