Mine isn’t all that low, but could be higher (around 450). Been experience fatigue, low motivation, and generally not as energetic as a year ago. Doc says low T could be a factor. I’m thinking of trying it, but wondered if any of you had experience with this. Doc said some guys feel fine at 450, others don’t. What say ye?

According to my Doc you should only the T replacement if truly needed because there are potential serious long term side effects such as liver damage...etc. There is also some debate as to if it increases risk for prostate cancer. There are other side effects as well.

Following as well....been looking into this, but I heard you can boost this with exercise and certain food. Not sure what to trust because I'm not keen on doctors anymore. They usually pimp out drugs more than giving alternatives to try first.

The roll one and shots don’t continue to work. Been there done that. They wear off quickly. Find a doctor that does Bio T. This is an implant in the hip of testosterone that last 6 months. It works great. I’ve been having the treatments for 2 years now and it works with zero negative side effects.

Lift weights, eat better. All this low T stuff is a scam for most. If it was truly an issue you would have more serious side affects. Synthetic T for most is not needed

It works great. I’ve been having the treatments for 2 years now and it works with zero negative side effects. I know the implants work for a lot of people, but they aren't completely side-effect free for everybody. My dad had the implants done in 2016 and it was absolute hell for him. They were supposed to last about 6 months and 3 months in the small hole in his back still hadn't healed properly. Before long he had one of the pellets lodged in the hole. Doctor said just dig it out. It hadn't dissolved much at all and it was a very painful process. For the next 7 months he was occasionally digging one of these pellets out of his back until one by one they were all accounted for. It took over a year for the small hole in his back to heal up. The doctors are saying that his body "rejected the implants" and he should look into dissolvable tablets or shots. One of my uncles and one of my dad's friends do the implants and have had very little if any trouble so I know they are good for some people, but I don't think I would ever try them simply because I've seen firsthand what happens when it doesn't work as planned.

It seems to be very misunderstood my doctors. My general suggested it after I asked about it. Wife is a nurse and gives me shots. Taken it for 3-4 years, a shot every two weeks. Seems to help energy level and libido some. Last time, after my regular doc retired, a new doc would not renew the prescription because PSA was elevated to 4.1. Waited a month and PSA was down below the 4.0 threshold and testosterone was just lower than the threshold. Started again and after a year saw a endocrinologist family practitioner who would not renew without another PSA test. It came back 2.1. Suggested I see a urologist. So, not sure what to think, except some are really skeptical and others are ok with it. I just don't like being so lethargic.

I am on T shots every two weeks; I started about 6 weeks ago. I have definitely noticed having more energy and motivation. My numbers were really low (125) from my treatment for Leukemia. I know there are definitely some risks but, it has given me the energy to get back in the gym and lead a fairly active life the way I did before my diagnosis.

I have been on injections for 4-5 years now. It does make a difference but it is not a cure-all. I started doing my own injections last year to save the trip to the docs office every other week.

Also have them check your vitamin D level. I was deficient in that as well. That can make you tired.

450 is pretty good. (For a guy in his 50s like me anyway) Mine was down in the low 300s and my PCP would not prescribe me TRT until it was under 275.
I am sure a TRT clinic would do it though. I had bioTe pellets in my glute a few years back. My wife worked for a doc that did em and he did them for the cost of the pellets. My butt muscle hurt for 3 weeks and when we checked my T after a month it was up around 1000 ng/dl and I felt like a 19 year old. I chased my wife around the house like a hound dog following a kid with some beef jerky in their pocket.
Only lasted about 3 months before it fell precipitously . Doc even gave me a fertility shot that was supposed to help me get normal again. Forget that. never again. I am interested in the shots some day but the pellets were awesome for a couple months then terrible. Took me 7-8 months to feel normal again as I think my natural test was partially shut down.
Personally I would not add an exogenous hormone unless really needed. There is way too many that can cause lethargy besides lowT and 450 ain't low unless you are in your teens. Mine is low normal and I just work real hard to stay fit, eat good 85% of the time, sleep well and limit booze and I feel really good 95% of the time.
Big country is right about the D3.

I'm 37, but my dad was diagnosed with low T, so I'm paranoid about it and get it checked regularly. Fortunately the force is still strong! If it ever does get low, I'll be checking into the pellets.

If your PSA dropped to 2.1, just wondering why your doc wanted you to see a urologist? Unless you are pretty young.
