I met him a few times in High School. I worked in the bowling alley at the Orleans Hotel Casino in Vegas and he was playing shows there in our theater. He brought his, I guess wife, up to bowl after his shows.
He was nice enough. I recall his "wife" or whatever had the biggest fake hooters I had ever seen.
Willie and the Oakridge Boys, Air Supply, the Nevell Brothers, all did the same. Never did meet Willie though. His very large posse would come up bowling but Willie never did. Willie would rather smoke a bowl than roll a bowl. Yeah. He was the only one I was kind of interested in meeting. Patrick Ewing and Jimmy JJ Walker were also regulars at the bowling alley. Patrick Ewing was HUGE. I am (was) about 6'4 and a pretty good sized dude but he made me feel like a child. Massive man.

The lead guitar solo in the middle of "TwoTickets" is an epic work of art in it's own right!

I want to party with the deep voice guy from the Oakridge Boys. Didn't he put a protection order against you? Something about you chasing him with a pink unicorn begging him to ride it while signing "ride da pony, ride da pony." RIP Eddie.

I think the order expired after a year. That's a good thing. You got the cowboy attire down to a solid A and the new unicorn is pretty awesome.

He was one of my favorites ... Really enjoyed his first three or four albums and a lot of the best songs hardly got exposure.. I always thought it was kind of cool that he was at 1 time.. a New York City policeman...RIP

One of my favorite concerts. I like his music. Gotta agree with Duck on liking Eddie Money tunes. The lead guitar solo in the middle of "TwoTickets" is an epic work of art in it's own right! Music Nerd Info Alert: Jimmy Lyon played that solo and was the only guitarist playing on Eddie’s first two albums. “Back in the dayâ€, Bill Graham was a powerhouse music promoter and Eddie Money was one of his discoveries. Graham also discovered Jimmy and was responsible for pairing him up with Eddie. Absent all this, you would either be appreciating a different solo, or, paying no attention to whatever guitar solo appeared on the song.
