Allen Family Style in Sweetwater. Be careful though, you might founder from overeating.

Babes and chicken e are my preferred chicken, brookshires does some solid work in Aledo also. When Brookshires was open here their chicken was always on point. Their lunches in the deli are solid, chicken, greens and mac n cheese. When the have cabbage I get that too. I like me some Brooshires Chicken.

It only took me one time to eat there before driving back to DFW. Twice I had to stop and exercise because I was afraid of falling asleep while driving. Their fried chicken and peach cobbler almost done me in.

Its kind of hard to mess up fried chicken...like messing up a cup of coffee. You really have to try hard.

Chefs Pointe Cafe in Watauga. Its listed on the menu as "Better than sex Fried Chicken".... I'm not ready to go that far, but its pretty darn good.
For a regular chicken place not a restaurant hard to go wrong with Lisa's Chicken. Excellent flavor and a 3 pc white combo with a drink is only $7.

I doubt anyone on here even knows about Mike’s Chicken in Dallas but it’s as good as it gets. Clean, well run, takeout only and ALL chicken is cooked to order. If being in a place where white folks are in the minority bothers you, this isn’t the place for you.

There was a place we used to go to, I think on Hillcrest in Dallas, called Halek's (sp?). I don't know when it closed, but it had excellent fried chicken and fried green bell peppers.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Gotta tell you the truth, when I was 25 there was nothing like a bucket of Col Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken, now I cant stand it.....a lot can change in better then 60 years, we even eat wings now.
And Brookshires, its all about LOCATION, some are great, others need much improvement.
You bettcha! oofta!
