The wind was blowing right down 6 mile this morning and it was all big rolling waves. The boat did great IMHO, as it was not a smooth ride, but it was not bad at all and it was a dry ride ( only a couple of time it even splashed a tiny bit of water on us). Coming back again it was big rolling waves and I usually don't even go out in this much wind since I live on the water here I don't really need to.

However I saw this as an opportunity ans the first one since I got my new Lund boat. Going out I ran it at about 30-32 MPH and of course it was not a smooth ride, but it also was not bad at all. I even cut across when I went to one of my spots so I got to run side ways to the waves going in and out.

I have got to say this is an impressive boat. I saw big bass boats getting pounded as they went out running by where I had stopped to fish and they were not flying by, LOL!

I felt like it was a good test for my Lund and it passed with flying colors!

I smell a change coming... (i.e. seeing more Lunds on the water...) once folks figure out that they are no longer tied to the calmer days that we have so often. (Don't get me wrong, there are days when it is really too dangerous to go out...)

Be safe and happy Lund boating...

Thanks Fly and when I first saw it in his shop I had a big smile on my face that didn't want to come off.

Well I can't stay in it all the time, LOL! I do like this boat a lot and it's running a little over 45 on GPS speed and not near broke in. Also that is with me and the wife with a full tank of gas and 27 gallons of gas is pretty heavy.

Running 30+ in the rolling waves was no trouble at all and I saw bass boats and others taking a beating.

I still have room so the storage is not full yet.

Been using Lund's in the North country and Canada for years; got to test my seafaring abilities on Lake of the Woods in 6 - 7 foot waves in a 16 foot Lund deep V. The ex didn't like it much but had no choice. Awesome boats.

The next one.... or a Spectrum.

I just need to use mine more. I need to get more fish in the live wells. Before the water got so warm, I hauled home what I caught in the live well with no losses. They are really something to be proud of.
