Let me start by emphasizing the word “Meh”...... let me break it down. There’s a very cheap feel to it. Maybe that’s by design. Like vintage 70’s kinda rustic, but it doesn’t work. It feels kinda cheap when you walk in. Staff said hello but we’re kinda pushy. They’re young and don’t yet know to be truly friendly. I got the 2 meat plate. A good value comparatively for $12.

Brisket - solid. Not spectacular. 4.5-5 maybe .... meh
Sausage - better than average. I’d give it a 7.5. I liked it.
Sauce - 3 ... huge for me. If your sauce sucks, you suck and this was runny like soup. Not good.
Potato salad - 6.5-7. It was good. Good flavor and texture.
Cole slaw - again, solid. Vinegar base, solid 6-6.5
Spanish rice - meh, 4.5-5. Just meh, just wanted to try it.
Cobbler - 5. Cold. Meh.

This is BBQ fast food basically. I’m sure there are much better. It was convenient. I had seen a bunch but never tried it.

Over all grade about 5.5. It’s average.

O/U is 6.5 and I’ll take the over.

Bill Miller has a huge following, it's like the BBQ Whataburger here in South Texas. Just something about it makes it the go-to place in SA. Is there another better place on every corner? Sure. But the lines remain long.

Fried chicken is the best.
