You might try and use your remote. Mine did this when the recessed foot pedal got clogged and filled with water. It shorted out the electronics in the pedal. The remote worked until I got it repaired.

Turns out skeeter left the drain hole filled with Fiberglas. They took care of everything for me.

It's a 6 hour round trip drive for me. Hope I don't start seeing issues now.

Honestly, most of the repairs are not hard to do yourself in less than 20 minutes. The exception may be cable replacement. That isn't fun to do, especially the first time. I have a service center close and it's under warranty so why pay? However, if I had to drive that far I would fix it myself.

I doubt they would ship me the parts I need to fix it under warranty.

no real issues with mine yet. just that the foot pedal is very sensitive when trying to turn left or right from the center (straight forward) position.

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

I didn't even get to the remote use. For the amount the upgrade cost me, if the foot pedal doesn't work manually after being powered up, it goes back to the shop immediately for the warranty work. Turns out the MK Warranty Center is Austin Boats and Motors, on Hwy 620 and only 12 miles from my house. I called SAM first thing this morning, and SAM called AB&M first thing this morning and I brought it right in to them.

Things go fast around here... just got a call from the Justin, the Cust. Svc. mgr at AB&M. "Good news. Come get your boat." Took about an hour, because they're busy prepping for a boat show on Lake Travis this weekend.

The drama has stopped, temporarily I'm sure, because that's the way with boats.

I haven't read the other responses so sorry if it's been said, but sounds like the foot pedal pressure switches, common failure item, it will be under warranty, run it by a Minn Kota ASC and they will change it while you wait.

I had to deal with M K two times and in each case they came through like a champ. The first time I broke that collar that turns the motor and they replace it for free, yes I had to take the boat to the service center in Harker Heights. The second time my remote would not turn on, I call them and the lady said I was just out of warranty but she would send me a new remote as soon as I ship the old back to them, M K paid the shipping both ways. I had the new one in less than 8 days for free. That a heck a lot better service than what I am getting from Lowrance, I am on my third week waiting for my carbon unit to come back. I had to pay to send it to them.

It was a loose wire that became disconnected and was hidden by another wire. Easy.
