There are several different brands of range or breeder cubes that work well. I have used lots of different brands depending on what the feed store carries. I like to get at least 20% protein. The fish seem to respond much better to a high protein level. Right now I use Big V Feeds brand - 20% natural Breeder Cubes. They come from McAlester, Oklahoma but my local feed store carries them. I put out about 5 pounds at a time when I leave the fishing area and try to fish 3 days in a row. The last day will usually be game on even if the first 2 days are slow. The more consistently you can chum a spot, the more productive it will be.

The reason behind using 20% or better is that they are dense enough to go down where you throw them out instead of being carried quite aways away from underwater current like the 12-15% cubes. If you put them in some type of bag it doesn’t matter, however that is just something else to get hung on when fishing. We never use bags.

I've used a few different brands of 20% and have not noticed a difference. They work great and fish will be full of them in 10-15 minutes!

I’ve never noticed a certain brand being better than the other. A lot of times Atwood’s has them on sale for 7.99 a bag and they are the plastic type of bag which I like better because they don’t rip apart easily if the bag sits in boat overnight and dew settles on it.

I have found that all of them seem to work. My catfish i clean are full with the cubes so the fish do eat them.

anything that STINKS...a catfish is a swimming tongue...smells everything...we used soured wheat...the slimy-er / stinky-er the better...granted, cow cake is simpler, but if u want immediate response from a turdy, try soured wheat...it can b dun in a 5 gal bukit...we used a 55 gal barrel
MERCY - not receiving what you deserve GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve Preach the gospel at all times; USE WORDS IF NECESSARY "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness." I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers

Some nasty stuff to be sure but, they do come running! Little dab will do ya!
