So I just picked up a couple of these and was planning on installing them this week. Just read in another post were another angler claimed they are worthless.
Would like to hear others thoughts that have experience before I go through and install them.
Thanks

Make sure you have a cutoff switch if you install. DO NOT use them when there is a high salinity and/or mineral content in the water (ala Squaw Creek and Texoma)… Bad news!!!

What happens? Why the switch, does the auto turn off not work very well?

They don’t work according to TPWD data. Return them and get your money back.

Save your money and just get an oxygen system. Best $250 you can spend if you really want to keep fish healthy

Spend $30 on VT-2 live-well vents and save your money. They work.

I have the vt system already but was going to add these as well. Now I’m fairly sure I will be sending them back.

My Oxygenator works great! I turn it on, tiny bubbles form and rise out of the water and into the atmosphere! Seriously, I would like to see one of the reportedly done studies measuring dissolved O2 levels in water after using Oxygenator, Oxygen Systems......

What happens? Why the switch, does the auto turn off not work very well? Depending on where you read, Chlorine gas... I can attest that Squaw Creek and the Oxygenator do not play well together. The first time I fished my new boat out there in a stringer tournament, killed three healthy shallow fish. Next day, with the oxygenator off, same other variables, full survival of 5 fish. The auto on/off is based on water filling the livewell, if you truly want to disable, you need a cutoff switch.

The only way an oxygen system doesn't work is if you forget to turn it on. Other than that, there is no better way to keep fish in great shape during hot months. Every bassboat should come with one. Crazy that guys spend money on baits rods, reels, electronics, but are apprehensive on adding the one thing that actually helps fish and could make you money at a tournament.

ive tested them. wouldn't buy them or the vents. I would listen to the above post along with cooling(colder water holds more dissolved O2) your livewell and having hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) if needed.
