bs that people think they need to do that fwiw. guy at work has a GSD always by his side. guy's a talented machinist and the dog does not interfere with his work at all. at first I was skeptical about the dog but talked with his close friends and coworkers and am convinced it is NOT bs at all, at least in this man's case. the guy was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress after several combat stints in Afgodlesstan. (DoD and the services all stopped using the word "syndrome" because there were many soldiers too ashamed to seek help and treatment.) I've worked as a civi around military my entire career. much respect for these men and women that go into harms way. so I don't know... take a look at all the pain in this world. dog, horse, cat, alligator, elephant, does it really matter? not to me anymore. if it does to you I don't judge at all. for me life is too short and hard enough as it is. if somebody finds relief doing this then God bless em. before I knew better, I might have been peeved if this lady were on my flight and I was inconvenienced, but my heart tells me to chill and let it go now. again that's fwiw.

Can horses be potty trained? If not,it’s possible 100 people could puke in an unplanned emergency. In the actual world, rightly so, everybody gets checked to make sure they are seat buckled. Should there be an emergency it would seem very dangerous if a horse was flying around the cabin unless of corse there are horsy seatbelts.

To me, this is less surprising than learning people would buy BK Whoppers made from plants.

I get this and I'm all for service animals in certain cases, including one like you mentioned. But my experience with service animals is a little different. When I was in college there was a girl who had a major heart disorder and needed the service dog. The school of course allowed it which was good, but before we could blink there were 3 or 4 dogs in a class of 40 people, the craziest I ever saw was probably 15 or 16 dogs in a class of about 120. By the time I graduated you couldn't walk through the halls of any building on campus without seeing a bunch of mainly girls and a couple guys with their service dogs. A girl I grew up with went to the same school and brought her dog with her everywhere she went on campus and I asked her how she got that approved, she said well all she had to do was go to the campus medical center and tell them she was incredibly depressed(which she acknowledged wasn't true) and she needed her dog for support and they gave her the little university name tag for her dog to be allowed on campus as an "emotional support dog". Apparently her and many of her friends were doing this same thing. And don't forget we aren't talking trained service dogs for the most part. Service animals have a real place in society no doubt about it, but to think that all service animals are needed and it isn't taken advantage of makes no sense to me.

Drive your a$$ wherever you want with whatever you want. Not on a plane. That is selfish thinking “oh everyone will be fine once they know my story”. Nope. Drive yo [censored] to wherever your going, especially if you are going to bring a damn horse with you! People have been doing it for centuries!
Smoke on!

She's a Twinkie away from needing 2 seats herself. Just another dog licker that moved up the animal chain. Maybe she will express the horses anal glands for the rest of the passengers. Animal idolatry magnified, as our wussified society nods their collective head in approval. Nuts.
