I think they still had long odds of winning if they convert. remember there was 1:03 on the clock. That is an eternity for that offense to get in FG range or score a TD. Its not guaranteed they would have scored . . . but my $ would be on them scoring in that situation more than the improbable pass breakup that actually happened.
